This new line will be approximately 2.6 kilometres (1.6 mi) long and will have 4 stations, beginning at the Aeroporto-Guarulhos station (with connection to Line 13-Jade) and ending at the Terminal 3 station, connecting the CPTM line directly to Guarulhos Airport. It will be an automated people mover[2] built as a monorail.[3]

In the second half of August, about to enter the month when the beginning of the line construction was scheduled, GRU Airport launched a second inquiry for companies and manufacturers who wish to enter the project, creating doubts about if the project would leave the drawing board as estimated.[1][4]

During the opening of the second access on Oscar Freire station, Governor João Doria affirmed that the dealership would have a deadline of 18 months to build the line and opening scheduled for December 2021.[1]

The first proposals for train companies and builders will be presented only in 2020.[5]

International companies, such as German Siemens, Canadian Bombardier, Chinese BYD and CRRC Sifang, Korean Rotem and Mexican Modutram, showed interest in the project, according to Folha de S. Paulo. Brazilian company TTrans, which presented a proposal to build the monorail trains for Line 17-Gold of São Paulo Metro, will also present a proposal for the people mover.[6]
