Ferndale, Indiana
Ferndale is an unincorporated community in Union Township, Parke County, in the U.S. state of Indiana.[2]

History
A post office was established at Ferndale in 1884, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1904.[3] The community was so named on account of the ferns near the original town site.[4]

gollark: I don't know about the serial thing, but what you *can* do is use a Raspberry Pi with a video capture thing (there are these dirt-cheap Chinese HDMI input sticks, or a HDMI to CSI thing which exists for some reason) and also make it emulate a USB keyboard/mouse.
