Demographics
As of 2001 India census,[2] Beniganj had a population of 9,504. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Beniganj has an average literacy rate of 54%, lower than the national average of 59.5%; with 60% of the males and 40% of females literate. 19% of the population is under 6 years of age.
