The municipality covers an area of 12.22 square kilometres (4.72 sq mi), and has a population of 177 (as at 3 July 2006).

Běleč lies approximately 20 kilometres (12 mi) north-east of Tábor, 69 km (43 mi) north-east of České Budějovice, and 68 km (42 mi) south-east of Prague.
