The 2020–21 Spartak Moscow season is the twenty-ninth successive season that the club played in the Russian Premier League, the highest tier of association football in Russia.

Season events

On 2 August, Spartak announced the signing of Aleksandr Kokorin to a three-year contract, with the option of an additional year, after his Zenit St.Petersburg contract had expired.[1]

On 5 August, Spartak announced the signing of Oston Urunov to a long-term contract from FC Ufa.[2]

On 6 August, Artyom Timofeyev joined Akhmat Grozny on a season-long loan deal.[3]

On 12 August, Aleksandr Lomovitsky joined Khimki on a season-long loan deal.[4]

gollark: We need to find villagers and somehow exploit them horribly. I'm thinking somehow steal the farm work they do.
gollark: There's basically nobody on it!
gollark: I have a cool thing which automatically slows falls, boosts flight speed, shows somewhat useless velocity overlays, and compensates for the generally awful TPS.
gollark: It's stupidly dangerous but keepinventory is on.
gollark: I actually use plethora boosted elytra.
