2009 Fed Cup World Group

The World Group was the highest level of Fed Cup competition in 2009. Eight nations competed in a three-round knockout competition. Russia was the two-time defending champion, but they were defeated by Italy in the semifinals. The Italian team went on to win, defeating the United States in the final, 4–0.

gollark: PotatOS only executes special digitally signed disks with inbuilt license data.
gollark: If you set `shell.allow_disk_startup` to `false` (it's per computer, programs can do that) they will *not* boot off disks.
gollark: No, it is *not* vulnerable to booting from disks, there's a setting.
gollark: I mean, except somehow exploiting bugs in CC to gain arbitrary code execution on the server.
gollark: There is no way around these things.
