1996 Supercopa Libertadores Finals
The 1996 Supercopa Sudamericana Finals was a football series between Velez Sarsfield and Cruzeiro played on November 20 and December 4 of this same year. In the first leg, played in Estadio Mineirão the match ended 0–1, Velez Sarsfield won. In the second leg, played in José Amalfitani Stadium, Velez Sarsfield won 2–0, in order to claim their first Supercopa Sudamericana title.
