The 1936 United States presidential election in North Dakota took place on November 3, 1936, as part of the 1936 United States presidential election. Voters chose four representatives, or electors to the Electoral College, who voted for president and vice president.

North Dakota voted for the Democratic candidate Franklin D. Roosevelt over Republican candidate Alf Landon and Union candidate William Lemke. Roosevelt won North Dakota by a margin of 33.02 percentage points and carried every county in the state despite substantial opposition from isolationist “favorite son” Lemke, who exceeded 28 percent in the counties of Burke, Sheridan and Hettinger.[1] As of the 2016 presidential election, this is the last occasion the following counties have voted for a Democratic Presidential candidate: Golden Valley, Grant, Kidder, Logan, McIntosh, Mercer and Sheridan.[2]
