Background and Identification
The Acer Chromebook C740 is a laptop manufactured in 2015. The device features subtle design upgrades that make it tougher and bulkier than its predecessor, the Acer Chromebook C720. Although the C740 is very similar to other Chromebooks, it can be easily be identified by the “Acer Chromebook C740 Series” printed on its underside.
The C740 is intended for middle and high school students. Appropriately, it features increased cover thickness, additional rib panels, and longer hinge brackets. The only color option available is slate gray. This Chromebook has an 11.6-inch screen, 4GB of RAM, a 16GB solid-state drive and one USB 2.0 port. Furthermore, it has an Intel HD graphics card and up to a 9-hour battery life.
