A staldra appears as a three-headed undead serpent slightly larger than a horse. Its dry, scaled body seems to emit a cloud of dust endlessly. Each of its three heads has decayed since its death ages ago, leaving only a skull that masks a dimly-glowing blue organ that bears similarities to an eye. These "eyes" are the source of the monster's unusual regenerative properties. Only when all three have been destroyed will the creature never rise again into undeath. Undead Race. There are no historical records of living staldra, or any three-headed serpents. For reasons unknown, the entire lot of creatures seems to have gone extinct, but many of them persist in undeath millennia after the race's demise. Unlike true stal-creatures, a staldra retains some portions of its body other than bones which remain partially functional, making it more akin to a zombie. Like virtually all undead, a staldra despises that which lives, and craves the destruction of all such creatures it comes across. |
