ACTIONS

Ghastly Touch. Melee Spell Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit: 10 (2d6 + 3) necrotic damage.

Magic Drain. Melee Spell Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit: 1 necrotic damage and the target is grappled (escape DC 14). While the target is grappled, the ghini cannot use Magic Drain on another target. The target loses 1 magic point, or 2 on a critical hit. If the target has no magic points, it loses an equal number of stamina points if it has any. For each point lost, the ghini recovers 4 (1d8) hit points.

Source

Ghinis are somewhat spherical, floating, somewhat transparent specters colored white, whitish-blue, whitish-pink. A ghini's body is mostly a large head, encompassing one huge eye and a gigantic protruding tongue. This head is adorned with a pair of hands on either side, and but otherwise body. They are known to most often be found in abandoned graveyards, or other mass gatherings of corpses that have been left unattended but not fully decayed.

Eerie Ambushers. These spirits seem to rest within their former shells wherever they reside. When their grave is disturbed, such as by bumping into their gravestone, the ghini abruptly phases out from its body to attack the source of its ire. If left alone, the ghost will usually return to its place of rest. A rare few are outwardly malicious, curious, or mischevious, and will seek the world beyond their grave. Most ghini only have partial sentience, and few if any have recollections of their former lives.

Undead Nature. A ghini does not require air, food, drink, or sleep.

Variant: Giant Ghini

Rarely, tombs or other large burial chambers house a ghini of exceptional size. It is unknown if such a creature is a combination of various smaller ghinis, or the undead soul of some exceptional or great creature. A giant ghini is of Large size, and has 12 more hit dice, which increases its hit points to 162. It gains the following action:

Multiattack. The giant ghini makes one attack, then makes a ghastly touch attack.

This variant has a Challenge Rating of 4 (1,100 XP).
