Ambusher. The lizalfos has advantage on attack rolls against any creature it has surprised.

Chameleon Cunning. The lizalfos has advantage on saving throws against being charmed, and magic can't put it to sleep.

Chameleon Skin. The lizalfos has advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks made to hide.

Hold Breath. The lizalfos can hold its breath for 30 minutes.

Standing Leap. The lizalfos' long jump is up to 30 feet and its high jump is up to 15 feet, with or without a running start.

Weak Point. The horn of a fire lizalfos is bizarrely sensitive against disjointed strikes. If a called shot specifically targets this horn and hits, the lizalfos is involuntarily knocked prone on the spot. Normally, making a called shot imposes disadvantage on the attack roll.

ACTIONS

Multiattack. The lizalfos makes two attacks.

Lizal Tri-Boomerang. Melee or Ranged Weapon Attack. +5 to hit, reach 5 ft. or range 30/120 ft., one target. Hit: 7 (1d8 + 3) slashing damage.

Fire Breath (Recharge 5-6). The lizalfos exhales fire in a 15-foot cone. Each creature in that area must make a DC 13 Dexterity saving throw, taking 24 (7d6) fire damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.

This variety of chameleon lizalfos has adapted to extremely hot environments, particularly around volcanoes, and has even been known to swim through molten lava. Aside from its red coloration, it features exceptional physical strength. Although it lacks the acid-spitting traits of most lizalfos, its title of "fire-breath lizalfos" is well-earned.

gollark: This is a way you can do that, though.
gollark: So you can expand out `(x-1)(ax^3+bx^2+cx+d)` and get some kind of quartic thing.
gollark: You know it's equal to x-1 times a cubic of some sort, and you want to know exactly what cubic.
gollark: If you multiply the `(x-1)` by `(ax^3+bx^2+cx+d)` it should expand out into having an x^4 term.
gollark: I'm probably explaining this badly, hmmm.
