Fat Moblin (5e Creature)
Fat Moblin
Large humanoid (moblin) , chaotic evil Armor Class 15 (hide, heavy shield)
Skills Intimidation +1, Survival +0 Brute. A melee weapon deals one extra die of its damage when the moblin hits with it (included in the attack). Heavy Shield. When the moblin takes the Dodge action, it also gains half cover until the start of its next turn. Keen Smell. The moblin has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on smell. ACTIONSMoblin Spear. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 26 (3d12 + 7) piercing damage. Javelin. Melee or Ranged Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft. or range 30/120 ft., one target. Hit: 14 (3d6 + 4), or 11 (2d6 + 4) piercing damage if made as a ranged attack. REACTIONSBody Slam. The moblin can use this reaction immediately after it is hit by a melee attack by a creature within 5 feet of it, and the moblin itself is not already prone. The moblin can take this reaction even if the triggering attack incapacitates the moblin, knocks it prone, or reduces its hit points to 0. The attacking creature must make a DC 15 Strength (Athletics) or Dexterity (Acrobatics) check; on a failure the creature take 11 (2d6 + 4) bludgeoning damage and is knocked prone. Regardless of the check result, the moblin itself falls prone. |
These moblins are identified by their bright, beet-red skin and how extremely dense they are with fat. Supposedly, this coloration is what occurs when the darker skin of a big moblin is stretched taut by obesity. When comparing big moblin and fat moblin tribes, the difference may be more cultural than genetic. Glutton Warriors. Fat moblins attain their immense bulk intentionally, as they believe the increased size and weight makes them more powerful warriors. They have even mastered basic agricultural skills — rare among moblins — just so they can devour even more food on a daily basis. To them, gluttony is a virtue. |
