dooby is a word "invented" by Liam in about 1998. He remembers just wanting to make up a random word, so he came up with "dooby." Adam and Liam always disagreed on how to spell it. Adam thought it should be spelled "dubee."

Another incarnation of the catchphrase was Liam's "Dooby Song". He recorded it using the computer, and the lyrics went like this:

This is the dooby song

won't you come and sing along

this is the dooby song

it isn't very long

hey!

Dooby was probably the most famous/widely used AML catchphrase. However, it died out quickly after the boys grew up and found out that a "doobie" was a marijuana cigarette.
