• The entirety of the finale. Twilight is beginning to lose the spark of first love that came with being in a relationship with Cheerilee and finds herself growing distant. Hurt, Cheerilee decides to pull away first before Twilight can dump her, only for Twilight to realize that love doesn't have to be nothing but sunshine and roses all the time. She goes to her friends for help to win her back, and the reconciliation is one of the sweetest, tenderest scenes in the entire story.
• The epilogue as well. True to the nature of the original series, the ending is written as Twilight composing a letter to Princess Celestia, telling her what she's learned during her journey.
  • "I don't know about this 'true love' stuff ponies are always talking about. Soul mates, or eternal perfect love, or any of that. I don't think it really matters."
