Mahou no Iroha

Not particularly good at sports, not very popular, and not very good at school, Naoki's middle school years are filled with video games and erotic books. Little does he know that he is destined to create magic and take over the world in the future. Then he gets Drunk with Power, decides to marry 500 women, and that gets him thrown out of power and get sentenced to death. With the power of magic, there still is hope, though, and one of his daughters, Iroha. goes back to the past in hope of saving her father from this cruel fate.

Yet another screwball action-comedy manga from Inoue Kazurou, the same man who made Midori no Hibi and Ai Kora. One can read it here.

• Abusive Parents: Future Naoki is a Jerkass on the highest level to his children when he does pay attention to them.
• Action Girl: All of Naoki's daughters seen thus far.
• Almost Kiss: Naoki and a couple of his daughters.
• Amusing Injuries: Naoki gets hurt quite a bit, and the Delinquents in the first chapter seem no worse for wear after suffering the wrath of Iroha.
• Barbie Doll Anatomy: Completely averted with Reika, which is a little shocking considering that there has not even been a Panty Shot or any other real fanservicey tropes before that.
• Astral Projection: Future Naoki into the past while he is in prison. He's visible, and of the Made of Air verity. He can still use magic though and be tangible when he wants to be.
• Bad Future: Played with in an interesting fashion where the Evil Overlord has already been defeated and the future that the time travelers are trying to prevent his his eminent execution.
• Bedmate Reveal: Oh Iroha...
• Blood From the Mouth: That's gotta hurt Reika.
• Calling Your Attacks: Not infrequently.
• Curb Stomp Battle: Iroha fighting the Delinquents
  • Anyone facing Future Naoki apparently which makes one wonder how they caught him.
• Daddy's Little Villain: Iroha could be this considering her utter devotion and willingness to do anything for Naoki.
• Deep-Immersion Gaming: The first few pages of the series. His game avatar is his evil future self.
• Delinquents: They show up quite a bit in the first chapter to beat up Naoki and then get defeated by Iroha.
• Disproportionate Retribution: Naoki was bad at sports growing up so he blew up sports stadiums when he got power later on in life.
• Drunk with Power: Naoki in the future.
• Good Plan A weird version. The typical Take Over the World plot has been achieved and then reversed before the story even starts. The main plot is the villain's daughter trying to save him from execution by going to the past before any of that happens.
• Hair Decorations : Iroha and her big bow. Reika and her hair band.
• Evil Overlord: Future Naoki is of the Sorcerous Overlord type.
• Fake Memories: Iroha uses magic to make Naoki's parents think she is their niece so that she can live with them and Naoki.
• First Law of Gender Bending: Enforced because Future Naoki's spells are nearly impossible to break except by him.
• Flying Broomstick: Reika's weapon and mode of transportation.
• Future Me Scares Me: Future Naoki is not a good man at all.
• Gender Bender: Ichinose Saki and boy is he not happy about it.
• Glomp: Iroha's introduction, and many other times. Reika gets in on the action too.
• Golem: Iroha makes one as part of a zany scheme.
• Harem Seeker: Future Naoki with great success until his success starts a revolution.

• Innocent Fanservice Girl: Iroha seems to not understand that she and Naoki are the same age right now and that he may find it strange to bath with her.

• Love Interest: Nanako is Naoki's it uncertain if she returns his affections as of this point in time. Although it does seem promising.
• Love Potion: Most likely a spell, but Nanako seemed convinced that she could make Nanako fall in love with Naoki with a spell. Naoki immediately and angrily informs her that using magic to make her fall in love with him is wrong.
  • In chapter two she makes him irresistible to everyone men and women.
  • Later on Ichinose Saki proves that one can do this by manipulating Nanako.

• Make Wrong What Once Went Right: Reika went back just to try and marry Naoki so she could be in control.
• Magic From Technology / Magitek: WE know that Naoki invented magic in the future, but how that happened or why magic works is still a mystery to us. It's should be one of these two tropes though.
• Magical Girl Warrior: All of Naoki's daughter we have seen thus far.
• Magical Incantation: Many times.
• Magic Missile: Literally and in the trope sense. Iroha will occasionally summon a tomahawk missile.
• Magic Wand: Iroha has one.
• Meanwhile in the Future: Iroha gets updates on Naoki's upcoming execution date. The further away it is the better she is doing.
• Naked on Arrival: Reika, well she still is wearing her head band.
  • Also the golem Iroha creates it's a girl as well.
• Noblewoman's Laugh: Reika.
• Offing the Offspring: Future Naoki threatens this, but aside from a few nonlethal attacks makes no real attempt to do so.
• Ordered to Cheat: Iroha uses her magic to make Naoki be good at sports. Naoki is first over joyed at his sudden success and popularity until he sees the effect it has on the people who acually worked for the ability. Then he makes Oroha remove the magic and still tries his best and gets loses but he learns the value of trying your best and likes sports a bit better.
