• Fan Nickname:
  • "Zetsubou Sensei Kamen" or "Tuxedo Megane" for Tsubomi's Mysterious Protector before he was revealed to be Tsubomi's grandpa and eventually Coupe, due to his resemblance to a certain suicidal teacher and/or a certain other mysterious protector.
  • There's also Cure Mercury and Fate Hanasaki for Yuri and Tsubomi, due to their voice actresses.
• Name's the Same:
  • No, Cure Blossom isn't related in any way to Momoko Hanasaki, or Hyper Blossom, or Papillon Rose's civilian identity for that matter.
  • Kurumi Mimino, meet Erika Kurumi. Also counts as Two First Names
  • At least one person might mistake Cure Sunshine for another Itsuki...
• Newbie Boom: Maybe it was some aspect of the series itself, or maybe it was because it happened to grab the attention of a prominent fansub group, but something caused the English-speaking Pretty Cure fandom to suddenly become huge during this series.
• Playing Against Type: Akira Ishida usually plays effeminate males. Cologne certainly doesn't look the part.
• Portmanteau Series Nickname:
  • Precure being a portmanteau of Pretty Cure, like always. And a perfectly canon portmanteau at that, considering it's right there in the logo.
  • Also, amongst the Japanese fans at least, this particular series is known as "Haatopuri," or "HeartPre."
• Promoted Fangirl: Nana Mizuki loves the Pretty Cure series and was ecstatic when she's landed the role of Tsubomi.
