Entered the scene as Ran and Sonoko's English teacher.
Mandatory Naming Note: Jodie Foster as Clarice Starling.
- Anime Accent Absence

- Hair of Gold
- Foreign Fanservice
- No Celebrities Were Harmed: Jodie Foster
- Red Herring: Was a very obvious suspect for being Vermouth for a long time. A blonde American woman with suspicious skills investigating at Conan's school, she even used Vermouth's famous Catch Phrase, "A secret makes a woman woman". Turns out she's an FBI agent looking for Vermouth who has picked the phrase up from her enemy.
- Secret Keeper
- Witness Protection: She was in one after seeing her parents killed by Sharon.
- You Killed My Parents: To Sharon.
Shuuichi Akai
Shuuichi Akai aka Rye
Mandatory Naming Note: See The Danza, below.
- Badass: One of the few people who have proven themselves a match for both Gin and Vermouth, the Organization's most dangerous agents.
- Cold Sniper: He's a rather aloof and intimidating guy even without a sniper rifle in his hand, but...
- Friendly Sniper: Overall he's a pretty decent guy and actually gets along well with Conan.
- The Danza: He's voiced by Shuichi Ikeda, where the "Aka" in "Akai" comes from Char Aznable of Mobile Suit Gundam, who drives a red mecha.
- Relationship Voice Actor: Ikeda's wife in Real Life, Sakiko Tamagawa, voices Akemi Miyano.
- Dark Is Not Evil: He looks quite sinister, especially in Ran's flashback when he had black hair als long as Gin's, but he's definately a good guy.
- Dead Little Sister: His girlfriend from the Organization... Akemi.
- Face of a Thug: Conan (and others) describe him as an evil-eyed man. He's a bit intimidating, but he's not that bad.
- The Mole: Infiltrated the Black Organization and became "Rye".
- The Stoic
- Red Herring: Was setup make readers think that he was Gin in disguise
Rena Mizunashi
Rena Mizunashi aka Hidemi Hondou aka Kir.
Voiced by Kotono Mitsuishi (JP)
Mandatory Naming Note: See Meaningful Name, below.
- Broken Bird
- Intrepid Reporter: Actually, an Action Girl and The Mole.
- Meaningful Name: 007[1].
- The Mole
- Self-Made Orphan: Very tragic case, since it was less about hate and more about having to...
- Shoot Your Mate: She shot her father to hide the fact that they were CIA moles infiltrating the Dark Organization.
- And again, she has to do this to Akai. Per orders of That Man himself.
- Strong Family Resemblance: Eisuke and Hidemi look a LOT like each other, and said similar looks top off Conan about their familiar bond.
- Sugar and Ice Personality: She acts cold and efficient when with the Organization, but her kind nature often shines through. Hence why Gin and That Man don't always trust her.
Ethan
Ethan Hondou
Voiced by Rikiya Koyama (JP)
Mandatory Naming Note: "Hondou" comes from the Japanese pronunciation of Bond. As in, James Bond. Meanwhile, "Ethan" comes from Ethan Hunt from the recent Mission: Impossible movies.
- Disappeared Dad: To Hidemi and Eisuke. For worse, Hidemi had to kill him.
- The Mole.
- Papa Wolf: The Shoot Your Mate incident came from them being almost having their covers blow, and Ethan sacrificing himself to trick the Organization into believing Hidemi had shot him dead for treason. Doubles as a Heroic Sacrifice.
- ↑ nashi means nil, or zero; re is the on-yomi for "zero"; and then seven is na.
