A Certain Magical Index/Characters/Skill Out

An armed group of Level 0 espers spread throughout Academy City. Most of them are school dropouts. They are a rebel faction in Academy City bent on taking revenge against higher level espers who misuse their powers.

Ritoku Komaba

Voiced by: Kenta Miyake

The first leader of Skill-Out introduced in Volume SS1. He is killed by Accelerator when GROUP is ordered to silence him due to his growing influence.

• Badass Pacifist: He hates conflict, but...
• Big Brother Instinct: His reason for taking the leadership of Skill-Out is revealed to be this.
• Combat Pragmatist: Jams Accelerator's connection with the MISAKA Network with the Chaff Seeds before fighting him.
• Genius Bruiser: Looks like a muscle-brained gorilla at first, but is actually pretty damn smart.
• Honor Before Reason: Prohibits Skill-Out members from associating themselves with prostitution even if it's the fastest way to gather funds.
• Large and In Charge
• Never Hurt an Innocent: Under his leadership, Skill-Out's targets are only espers who misuse their powers.
• Powered Armor: Hard Taping, a military grade armor which strengthens the body and provides speed, at the cost of muscle strain.

Hanzou Hattori

The current leader of Skill-Out, and a former ninja.

• Chekhov's Gun: A literal gun (a lady's handgun) which he gives to Shiage. Shiage uses it later to defeat Mugino.
• Fragile Speedster: His preferred method of combat.
• Highly-Visible Ninja: He defies this notion, saying that it's better for ninjas to just hide in the flow of history rather than being in the open.
• Meaningful Name / Named After Somebody Famous: Hanzou Hattori is the name of a ninja from the Sengoku period.
• Papa Wolf: After Fremea gets taken by Umidori he gets really pissed.
