Muragan

The Muragan were possibly an indigenous Australian people of the state of Queensland. They may have spoken Kunjen, or indeed merely be a mishearing of some Kunjen dialect rather than an actual people.[1]

Not to be confused with Murugan.

Country

The Muragan were located on the middle Mitchell river then northwards to the Alice River. They were also present around the New Koolatah Station, and, according to Norman Tindale, had some 1,000 square miles (2,600 km2) of tribal territory.[2]
