2019 Altamira prison riot July 29, 2019 Altamira, Pará 62 16 prisoners were beheaded, and a further 41 people died from inhaling smoke from a fire lit at the beginning of the riot.[8]
Belém bar shooting May 19, 2019 Belém, Pará 11 A group of heavily-armed men — riding on a motorcycle and in three cars — went on a shooting rampage at a bar in Brazil, killing at least 11 people on Sunday[9]
