Italy at the 2020 Summer Paralympics

Italy will be competing at the 2020 Summer Paralympics in Tokyo, Japan, from 24 August to 5 September 2021. This will be their sixteenth consecutive appearance at the Summer Paralympics since 1960.

Cycling

Italy is scheduled to compete in cycling at the 2020 Summer Paralympics.

Shooting

Pamela Novaglio qualified for the 2020 Summer Paralympics after her results in the 2018 World Shooting Para Sport Championships.[1]

Nadia Fario qualified for the 2020 Summer Paralympics after her results in the P2 (women’s 10m air pistol SH1) in the 2018 World Shooting Para Sport World Cup.[2]

Andrea Liverani also qualified for the 2020 Summer Paralympics after his results in the R4 (Mixed 10m Air Rifle Standing SH2) in the 2018 World Shooting Para Sport World Cup.[3]

Swimming

Thirteen Italian swimmers are qualified to compete in swimming at the 2020 Summer Paralympics via the 2019 World Para Swimming Championships slot allocation method.[4][5]

Italy's women's sitting volleyball team qualified for the 2020 Summer Paralympics after winning the 2019 Sitting Volleyball European Championships in Budapest, Hungary in July 2019.[6]
