Israel participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2002 in Tallinn. Sarit Hadad represented Israel with the song "Light a Candle".

Before Eurovision

Internal selection

On November 2001, IBA announced Sarit Hadad as the Israeli entrant at the Eurovision Song Contest 2002. On December 2001, Hadad submitted four songs to IBA and a committee voted on the songs on 24 December 2001. The song "Light a Candle" received the most points and was selected as the song Sarit will perform at the 2002 contest.[1][2]
