World Day of Laziness

The World Day of laziness (festival) is the closing day of the Festival of Industry, Trade and Culture[1] to be held in the city of Itagüi - Colombia. The festival is a social and cultural event it presents all kinds of music: jazz, blues, salsa, rock, hip-hop, reggaeton, vallenato, electronic music, reggae and pop. There's photography exhibition, painting, dance, musical and theater.

History

The closing day of the Festival of Industry, Trade and Culture under the name "World Day of laziness" was founded in 1984 as a symbol it modern world needs relax and learn to enjoy the moments and good entertainment. It also represents for the name of festival: "Industry, trade..." a brake by the production the industry, a brake by the production the trade.

The latest celebration of this day was in 2012 that perhaps one of the most important celebrations and the celebration began to be recognized internationally. The Festival of Industry, Trade and Culture officially born in 1989 with great success locally and nationally.
