WWCI-CD, virtual and UHF digital channel 10, is a NewsNet-affiliated television station licensed to Vero Beach, Florida, United States. The station is owned by HC2 Holdings. Currently, it produces five-minute local newscasts at :24 and :54 past every hour due to its affiliation with NewsNet. WWCI can be viewed on Comcast cable channel 11 in southern Indian River County and northern St. Lucie County, and on Comcast channel 10 in northern Indian River County.[1]

WWCI's main transmitter is located near the station's studios on 12th Street, just west of Old Dixie Highway, in Vero Beach.

History

The station’s construction permit was issued on November 20, 1992 under the callsign of W10CI. It changed to WWCI-LP on May 17, 1996, then WWCI-CA on February 19, 2001. The current callsign of WWCI-CD was assigned on May 31, 2013.[2]
