WOYS - Oyster Radio (100.5 FM) is a radio station broadcasting a one-of-a-kind Classic Rock, Blues and Beach Music format. Licensed to Apalachicola, Florida, United States, the station serves Franklin / Gulf / Liberty and Wakulla Counties in Northern Florida. The station is currently owned by Michael and Lena Allen, through licensee East Bay Broadcasting Inc. and features programming from FNN Radio.[1]

This station has been a focal point for both tourists and locals, who like a wide range of music including hits from the new "trop rock" style beach music from artists like "Jimmy Buffett", "Brent Burns", "Sunny Jim", "Jim Morris" and many more. One of the most popular classic rock and Blues show in the world is broadcast every day from 8:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m EST.

The station was built by Richard Plessinger Sr. of Hamilton, Ohio, a self made engineer and a co-founder of the one way paging industry. He designed and built paging systems in Cincinnati, Dayton and Columbus, Ohio. Over his years he owned and operated six radio stations in Ohio and Florida. He moved to Franklin County in the early 1980’s and switched on Oyster Radio on July 4, 1988.
