VTV3

VTV3 is a Vietnamese television station operated and owned by government-owned VTV Network. It launched on 31 March 1996 and has broadcast for 19/7 from 19 March 2020 to 30 April 2020 and for 24/7 since 1 May 2020 as the country's first entertainment channel, as well as American and Asian series.

Broadcast

  • VTV3 was broadcast by Vietnam Television for testing, the remaining programs will be broadcast at the same frequency range of VTV1 and VTV2, with the content is Sports - Entertainment - Economic Information. The channel was broadcast in channel 6 in Hanoi. Broadcast time was from 6:00 pm to 12:00 am. The channel began to be relayed nationwide via satellite on 31 March 1998.
  • Until 31 December 2001:
    • From Monday to Friday: 12:00pm to 12:00am
    • Saturday and Sunday: 10:00am to 12:00am
  • From 31 December 2001 to 31 August 2006: 06:00am to 12:00am
  • From 1 September 2006 to 18 March 2020 and from 1 May 2020 to present: 24/7.
  • From 19 March 2020 to 30 April 2020: 05:00am to 12:00am [lower-alpha 1]

VTV3 HD

VTV3 became the first channel of VTV and the first commercial television channel in Vietnam to have an HD simulcast. VTV3 HD was soft-launched from 31 March 2013 to mark VTV3's 17th anniversary and was officially launched on 1 June 2013. Most programs broadcast by VTV3 since 2013 are in HDTV with a 16:9 picture format. Vietnam television broadened sports room from the sports-entertainment-economic information. Sports moved to VTV6 in 2016
