The store was successful and opened a second shop on Madison Avenue. The brand developed a line of natural shaving products.[2] The company operates 17 stores across the United States. 10 new stores were opened in 2007.[3] As of 2020, the company operates 83 stores in the United States, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Russia. It was announced in January of 2020 that parent company Procter & Gamble planned to close "most" stores due to a decline in mall traffic and changing consumer shopping habits [4]
The company entered a partnership with razor company Gillette with some The Art of Shaving franchises owned by Gillette.[5]
Procter & Gamble purchased The Art of Shaving in 2009.[6][7]
