The song was performed in Danish at Dansk Melodi Grand Prix in 2002, titled "Vis mig hvem du er".

The song was performed fourteenth on the night, following Finland's Laura with "Addicted To You" and preceding Bosnia and Herzegovina's Maja Tatić with "Na jastuku za dvoje". At the close of voting, it had received 7 points, placing 24th (last) in a field of 24. This is the worst result Denmark has ever had. For her Eurovision appearance, Malene wore a red top and skirt.

The song is a plea from a woman to her lover for him to "tell me who you are" in order to help them move forwards in their relationship.

Due to the poor placing, Denmark was not invited to participate in the 2003 contest, but was permitted to return in the next year's show. Thus, it was succeeded as Danish representative at the 2004 contest by Thomas Thordarsson with "Shame on You".
