Traction

As the route is yet to be fully electrified, a Kazipet based WDP 4 locomotive hauls the train from Nanded until Manmad Junction handing over to a Kalyan based WCAM 3 which powers the train for the remainder of its journey.

Operation

Tapovan Express runs on a daily basis in both directions.
