Sydenham is a suburb of Port Elizabeth, South Africa that is bordered by North End to the east, south and nort, Holland Park in the west and the North End Lake to the south-west.

Economy

Sydenham is both a residential and industrial area with the residential part to the west (interior) and the industrial part to the east (coast), however it is mostly an industrial suburb.

This suburb also has many car dealerships on the R102 (Govan Mbeki Avenue/Grahamstown Road) and the R75 (Commercial Road). Car delearships include Haval, GWM, Nissan, Ford and Renault and local ones such as Maratime Motors.[3][4]

Transport

Sydenham being an industrial area, it is strictly important for it to have access to major road networks.

Sydenham has many major routes running through it such as the M4 highway, R102 and R75. It is also near the Deal Party interchange between the N2 to Makhanda and Cape Town and the M4.

Education

Sydenham has one school, Sydenham Primary School.
