Sultanahmet is a neighbourhood of Fatih, Istanbul, Turkey. It encompasses the innermost historic core of Istanbul, including Hagia Sophia, the Sultan Ahmed Mosque, the Hippodrome of Constantinople, Topkapı Palace, and the Basilica Cisterns.
