Shahi is located at 28.55°N 79.32°E / 28.55; 79.32.[1] It has an average elevation of 171 metres (561 feet). The town is on the banks of the Gaula River.

Demographics

As of the 2001 Census of India,[2] Shahi had a population of 13,898. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Shahi has an average literacy rate of 26%, lower than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 32%, and female literacy is 19%. In Shahi, 22% of the population is under six years of age.

gollark: If you look at historical pricing of this sort of level of education, IIRC it has increased *massively* since... 40 years ago?
