San Piero Patti

San Piero Patti (Sicilian: San Pieru Patti) is a comune (municipality) in the Metropolitan City of Messina in the Italian region Sicily, located about 140 kilometres (87 mi) east of Palermo and about 50 kilometres (31 mi) southwest of Messina.

History

San Piero Patti was conquered and inhabited by the Arabs until the 11th Century, when they were defeated by Roger I of Sicily.[3]

  • Convent of Carmelitani Calzati, a convent built in 1566; features a cloister with Renaissance decorations
