Södertälje FK was founded in 2012 from the clubs Brunnsängs IK, Östertälje IK and FF Södertälje. Later, also Betnahrin IK och Syrianska BoIS, joined with Södertälje FK, and Södertälje took Betnahrin's place in Division 2.[1]
