Pingguoyuan station

Pingguoyuan station (simplified Chinese: 苹果园站; traditional Chinese: 蘋果園站; pinyin: Píngguǒyuán zhàn; lit.: 'Apple Orchard station') is a station on Line 1 of the Beijing Subway, located in Pingguoyuan Subdistrict, Shijingshan District, Beijing. The station for Line 1 was opened on April 23, 1973.

Pingguoyuan station on Line 1 is closed for renovation from April 18, 2020 to late 2021.

Future Development

It is planned to be a transfer station of Line 1, Line 6, and S1 line. The Line 1 station and Line 6 station are underground, and the S1 line station is elevated.

Line 6

The Pingguoyuan station for Line 6 has not yet opened. Line 6 trains only pass through the station without stopping.[2]

S1 line

The S1 line will be extended to Pingguoyuan. The extension is under construction. The elevated station for S1 line will open together with the Pingguoyuan Transportation Hub which will be finished in 2021.[1]

The line 1 of Pingguoyuan station has two underground side platforms and both are the only two platforms of Beijing Subway stations that haven't installed platform gates due to the aging of platform devices.

The station for Line 1 is closed for renovation, and the platform gates will be installed after the renovation is finished.[3]
