Peesh ili luzhesh

Peesh ili luzhesh (Bulgarian: Пееш или лъжеш, lit. 'You sing or lie') is a television mystery music game show broadcast by Nova. It is the Bulgarian version of I Can See Your Voice.[1]

Season 1 (2016)

Peesh ili luzhesh debuted on Nova on November 3, 2016.[2] A New Year's Eve Concert was aired on this day, featuring all guest artists accompanied by their winners perform one last time,[3] and also the penultimate performance highlighted Rosen Belov an example of a bad singers turned "good", thus it is the only ICSYV franchise to do so.[4]

Production

Development

Nova Broadcasting Group was first announced the development of the series in August 2016.[5] It was produced by Global Films Limited. The show's staff is commissioned by director Kiril Kirov; joined by producer Magarditch Halvadjian; and writer Vladi Aprilov.[6] Pre-show auditions were took place at the National Palace of Culture in Sofia.

Gameplay

Format

The guest artist(s) must attempt to guess SEE-cret songers who are "good" and "bad" without hearing them sing. SEE-cret songers must partake on every round, at which they can receive help and advice from the SING-vestigators.

After eliminating one to two SEE-cret songers in each round, they would perform using real voice at the stage of truth. The last SEE-cret songer standing will do duet-perform by guest artist(s).

Rewards

The winning good singer(s) would have to perform again at the showcase while the winning bad singer(s) gets 3,000 leva.[7]

Rounds

There were eight individuals of SEE-cret songers standing on the platform with its aliases to keep their identities concealed until its initial performance.

Singer's visual
  • The guest artist(s) have time to observe and examine each SEE-cret songer based on their appearance. After this, a muted video of each SEE-cret songer that reveals only 0.3 seconds of their singing voice is played as an additional hint.[BG 1]
Singer's talent
  • The guest artist(s) must 'predict' every SEE-cret songer based on other talents, except singing "itself". It is unrelated to the Stage of Truth, but it depends on their identity.[BG 1]
Singer's lip-sync
  • Every SEE-cret songer performs a lip-sync of a song. Good singers lip-sync to their own voice, while bad singers lip-sync to other's voices.[BG 1]
Singer's verdict
  • The guest artist(s) must have then 100 seconds to make an interview with the remaining SEE-cret songers before making the final decision, at which point is depending on every SING-vestigators' opinion and/or an audience's majority voting.[BG 1]
