Pachora
Pachora is a city and a municipal council in Jalgaon district in the Indian state of Maharashtra and situated on the banks of the Hivra River. Pachora is a Census Town city in the district of Jalgaon, Maharashtra. The Pachora Census town has a population of 211 of which 120 are males while 91 are females as per report released by Census India 2011.

Pachora Municipal Council
Pachora Municipal Council has established on 1 April 1947. Now, 25 wards are mapped for Pachora Municipal Council with 25 members of Nagarpalika. Pachora also has a Vidhan-Sabha Constituency from the year 1952. Pachora has a large rural infrastructure with 95 gram panchayats which is the largest in any other tehsil place in Maharashtra. The Central Pachora is under Jalgaon Lok sabha Constituency.[3]
Economy
Pachora has an agriculture-based economy. Major crops are cotton, banana, maize, jowar, bajara. It also has many educational institutes and serves as a regional transportation center. The city has other businesses like gold, cloth markets, etc. People mostly earn their livelihood with the cultivation of bananas and bajara. Pachora has one of its best quality banana crop.

According to the 2011 census, population of Pachora was 2,55,000.[4]
Festivals
Pachora has many historical temples all over the region with some mystery & spiritual story. Here in Rath Galli, Balaji Mandir (Temple) is about 250 years old. Every year, the festival of Balaji is celebrated and is called mela (fair) of 'Balaji Rath Yatra'. A 50-foot-high wooden Rath of Balaji Maharaj is pulled in its nearer specific route. Yatra starts in the morning from 08.00 a.m. till 11.00 p.m. On a famous hill "KakanBardi", the fair has been celebrated for the last 800 years. We call it a fair of 'Khandoba'. This temple is situated on the top of a hill, 4 km from Pachora. It is an 800-year-old temple. It is also known as "Jai Malhar".
Pachora has two famous temples, one of Goddess 'Kaila Mata Mandir' (Bhadgaon road) and the other of 'Jagdamba Devi Mandir' (Rath Galli). In both the temples during "Navratri Utsav" the holy program of Dandiya is celebrated every year for the 9 days of Navratri.

Rail
Pachora is on the main line track of central railway. It is just 50 km away from Jalgaon District station & 72 km away from Bhusawal Junction of Central Railway. Just 3 hours from Nasik Road railway station & 6 hours from Mumbai. With any train of Central Railway, either the Express or Passenger you can reach safely at Pachora on its scheduled time. It is awarded as one of the clean railway stations of the district.
Pachora–Jamner railway is a narrow-gauge branch line which connects Pachora to Jamner which is nearer to Ajanta Caves.[5] The railway line was constructed by Messrs Shapoorji Godbole and Co. of Bombay. Pachora to Pahur section was opened up in 1918 and the rest of the sections in 1919. On termination of the contracts with the former Great Indian Peninsula Railway Company, the line was brought under direct State management with effect from 1 July 1925. [6]
Road
It is banked on the state highway Nagpur-Pune & Nagpur-Surat. It is on the main road network of state as well as central government highways. It is 48 km away from Jalgaon & 90 km from Dhule & 210 km From Nasik. With the help of Maharashtra Rajya Parivahan Mandal (MSRTC), you can choose the appropriate transport bus to reach Pachora. Private tours and travels also operate in Pachora.
Air
Aurangabad airport, at chikalthana airport,Aurangabad (approximately 149 from the city). Jalgaon Airport, at Kusumba (approximately 50 km from the city) has been upgraded by the Airports Authority of India and was inaugurated on 23 March 2012 by the President of India, Smt. Pratibha Patil.[7].
