Nkulunkulu Mnikati wetibusiso temaSwati

"Nkulunkulu Mnikati wetibusiso temaSwati" is the national anthem of Eswatini. It is a compromise between Swazi and western styles of music, and was adopted after independence in 1968.[1] The lyrics were authored by Fanyana Simelane, and the composer of the tune was David Rycroft.

siSwati lyrics English translation
Nkulunkulu Mnikati wetibusiso temaSwati;
Siyatibonga tonkhe tinhlanhla;
Sibonga iNgwenyama yetfu.
Live netintsaba nemifula.
Busisa tiphatsimandla takaNgwane;
Nguwe wedvwa Somandla wetfu;
Sinike kuhlakanipha lokungenabucili
Simise usicinise, Simakadze.
O Lord our God, bestower of the blessings of the Swazi;
We give Thee thanks for all our good fortune;
We offer thanks and praise for our King
And for our fair land, its hills and rivers.
Thy blessings be on all rulers of our Country;
Thine alone is our Lord;
We pray Thee to grant us wisdom without deceit or malice.
Establish and fortify us, Lord Eternal.
gollark: REPLs are highly.
gollark: ```pythonimport subprocesssubprocess.run(["sudo", "nano", "/etc/bees.data"])```
gollark: My `/etc/passwd` has `/bin/python3` as my shell.
gollark: I agree! Instead of using a shell, a paradigm designed for the typewriters of 1980ish, I use Python.
gollark: In these modern days, there are shells based on python somehow, a bunch of modern structured-programming-y ones, fish (basically a traditional shell with less bee syntax and excellent line editing), and I can't immediately think of other categories.
