History

In 1979, this college was established as Nazipur Mahaviddalaya, headed by Md. Moez Uddin. Nazipur Government College began its academic activities temporarily at Nazipur High School, as it had no land of its own. Later, a parcel of land was purchased and another parcel was donated by Mojir Uddin. In 1977, the college moved to its own building, which was constructed with the help of DDB Rajshahi. The institution was granted on 6 April 1984, and gradually it was developed into a college offering degrees. Being nationalised on 8 December 1984, this college appeared as a government educational institution from 1 January 1985.[3]
