Navarathinam (transl.Nine Gems), is a 1977 Indian Tamil-language action road film, written and directed by A. P. Nagarajan, starring M. G. Ramachandran in the lead role, Latha, Jayachitra, Zarina Wahab and others enacting supporting roles.

On Thursday, 21 April 1977, approximately 7 weeks after the release, A. P. Nagarajan, the director-producer, died from a heart attack.

Navarathinam was A. P. Nagarajan's final film, as well as his only film with M. G. Ramachandran.[1]
