The station was formerly known as Radio Muzik, Radio 2, Radio Malaysia Saluran Muzik, Radio FM Stereo and Muzik FM.

History

Following the demerger of Klasik Nasional FM in 1 January 2012, Nasional FM was relaunched and took over both of Muzik FM's frequencies, its announcers and DJs. However, Muzik FM is currently broadcasting on the internet under the Galaksi Muzik RTM branding. Nasional FM's current motto is Sentiasa di Hati (Always in the Heart).
