The wingspan is about 30 mm. Adults are a pale straw colour with a double discal spot, as well as a row of small black dots along the margin of both the forewings and hindwings.
The larvae feed on young banana fruits. Young larvae move into the inflorescence of their host plant, where they feed on the skin of the developing fruit. They feed in sheltered positions.[3]
