The Allmusic review by Ron Wynn awarded the album 4½ stars, stating, "The WSQ did its usual array of material, from bubbling R&B and funk-tempered numbers to hard bop and swing-oriented tunes, plus two stirring renditions of "Amazing Grace."".[1]
