Micah Iverson

Micah Iverson (born December 9, 1993), is an American indie pop singer. He has the distinction of being the first person to ever take fifth place in season 18 of the American talent competition The Voice.[1]

Personal life

Micah Iverson was born on December 9, 1993, in Chiba, Japan. He was born to missionary parents who taught English in Japan. He is the second youngest of 9 kids. When he turned 18 he moved to the United States, to pursue his education at the University of Virginia. After college, he worked in business finance. In 2019, he quit his job at a fortune 500 company to pursue music full-time, and moved to Atlanta.[2]

Career

In 2020, Iverson entered the 18th season of The Voice. In his blind audition, he sang "All I Want" by Kodaline. He got 3 chairs, Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson, and Nick Jonas. He chose to become a member of Team Kelly. He made it to the finale and took fifth place on May 19, 2020.
