Miarinarivo, Andilamena

Miarinarivo is a town and commune (Malagasy: kaominina) in Madagascar. It belongs to the district of Andilamena, which is a part of Alaotra-Mangoro Region. The population of the commune was estimated to be approximately 14,000 in 2001 commune census.[2] It also has sometimes suffered through some cases of the Black Plague still in the region[3]

Primary and junior level secondary education are available in town. Farming and raising livestock provides employment for 20% and 75% of the working population. The most important crop is rice, while other important products are peanuts, cassava and sweet potatoes. Services provide employment for 5% of the population.[2]
