Marconi Express

The Marconi Express is a monorail line under construction[1] for Bologna, Italy. 5-kilometre (3.1 mi) in length, it will link Bologna Guglielmo Marconi Airport to Bologna Centrale railway station, with an intermediate station and depot at Lazzaretto and an expected travel time of 7 minutes.[2] The monorail system will be provided by Intamin.[3] The three trainsets are each capable of carrying up tp 50 passengers.[4] Building works have been completed in 2018 and was scheduled to start operating on March 7, 2020.[5]

However, that date of inauguration was not respected due to a shortage of drivers and due to the COVID-19 Pandemic in Italy, and there is still uncertainty about when it will start to operate.
