History
British troops in Srinagar promoted football in the region.
Lonestar Kashmir is affiliated with the Jammu & Kashmir Football Association and participates in state tournaments. In 2013, LoneStar Group became a primary sponsor of the team, and registered it as a private company to fulfil AIFF club licensing criteria.[2] The club named KFC is registered with J&K Football Association and is participating in all major tournaments of the state. At the end of the 2013 season, LoneStar Group registered KFC under the Companies Act as per the AIFF Club licensing criteria. The idea was to introduce a Kashmir-based club to the country.
