Fictional Railfans

  • The Eighth Doctor, From Doctor Who, was accused of being a train spotter, complete with a spotters notebook, by his companion in S02E05 of the Audio Book Series.
  • Sheldon Cooper - There is a running joke on The Big Bang Theory that Sheldon is obsessed with trains.
  • Reg Hollis, from The Bill train spotter who takes his girlfriend trainspotting on their first date. His house has various railway memorabilia and is a fan of model railways.
  • Reverend Lovejoy, from The Simpsons owns a model railway.
  • Herb Melnick, from Two and a Half Men owns a model railway.
