Ships

The Sri Lankan Naval fleet consists of around fifty combat vessels, support ships and inshore patrol craft. This is a list of the current Sri Lankan Navy ships as of 2017:

In 2014 Sri Lanka ordered two Advanced OPV from Goa Shipyard for USD 74 million each. First ship joined SLN fleet in August 2017. Sister ship was delivered in March 2018 and commissioned in 20 April 2018[1]

Secretary/Hamilton Class High Endurance cutter United States 3250 tonnes 1SLNS Gajabahu (P626)

In November 2017,the US said they would transfer one Secretary/Hamilton Class cutter to the SL Navy.[2] The vessel will arrive in Sri Lanka in May 2019 under the pennant number P626.[3]

Type 053H2G frigate People's Republic of China 2393 tonnes 1SLNS Parakramabahu (P625) In July 2018, China promised to gift Sri Lanka a Type 053H2G frigate.[4] Entering service as P625, the entire gun armament had being retained.[5][6] The vessel was commissioned in August 2019.
